Job Description: HDS is looking for a training specialist to support the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS). As the training specialist, you will provide classroom instruction to new users of the CODIS application. The training specialist will be responsible for implementation of the training program and collaboration with project stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME). While this role is primarily responsible for the delivery of established training content, it is also responsible for providing feedback on training materials and identifying areas of improvement. The ideal candidate would be a confident public speaker with education or experience in scientific disciplines such as forensic biology, forensic DNA analysis, molecular biology or biochemistry. Required Skills: · Top- Secret Clearance · Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience · Develop a thorough, in-depth understanding of various versions of the CODIS application · Deliver Instructor-Led Training (ILT) to small (~20) and large (~500) groups of domestic and international users on the CODIS application · Daily interaction with engineers, developers, testers, users, and the FBI customers · Assist in development of Computer-Based Training (CBT) and ILT student handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals · Identify training requirements by evaluating program needs and participating in meetings with program, software, and engineering teams · Review training presentations and web enabled-video training modules and provide feedback to development team · Assist in maintaining the program's knowledge base repository · Respond to user request for support, via phone and email, regarding functionality of the CODIS application and associated Learning Management System (LMS) Desired Skills: · Experience as a forensic DNA laboratory analyst · Experience in the use and administration of the CODIS application · Functional knowledge of: · Clinical DNA Analysis · Forensic or DNA Paternity testing · Mitochondrial DNA analysis · PCR-STR testing · Capillary Electrophoresis · Applied population genetics Powered by JazzHR Qel0SbsJPk
