Maintenance Carpenter (Hyatt Regency Seattle)

Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Maintenance Team as our Carpenter, focusing on carpentry, paint, and finishes ! This Engineer 2 will support A Seattle Collection , a multi-property cluster comprised of Grand Hyatt Seattle, Hyatt at Olive 8, and Hyatt Regency Seattle.

Our Carpenter will be responsible primarily for general carpentry-related projects and assignments including wood refinishing, rough and finish carpentry, and laminate-related tasks.

This position will perform repairs and preventative maintenance in public spaces, back-of-house areas, and guest rooms. Candidates should have a minimum of (3) years of carpentry experience, and equivalent trade school training and hotel experience are preferred.

As part of the Maintenance / Facilities team, candidates should have basic troubleshooting skills involving electricity, plumbing, etc.

Good communication skills are necessary for this role.

The hourly rate for this position is $30.50. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for four years, which is $31.11.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience or equivalent trade school training is required.
• Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds).
• Must be a team player but able to work independently as well.
• Able to multitask and prioritize assignments.
