 Customer service and hotel experience are a good foundation for this position. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 Per Hour

This position reports to the Executive Housekeeper. The Houseman's primary responsibility is to assist the housekeepers in cleaning and preparing guest rooms. The position is also responsible for the cleaning duties of all common areas, including, but not limited to, stairwells, hallways, or any other areas deemed necessary to provide a clean, comfortable environment for guests.

Job Requirements

Greet all customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Pull linen and trash from room attendant’s carts.
• Pull linen and trash from the rooms assigned each day.
• Restock carts and closets with linen during the day.
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of all storage rooms, including regular vacuuming.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of elevators, hallways, walkways, and stairs.
• Assist in special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager, such as turning mattresses, deep cleaning, etc.
• Operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, carpet cleaners, etc.
• Clean hallway doors, windows, and vents.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Deliver items to guest rooms as requested.
• Maintain cleanliness of all common guest areas, including but not limited to the lobby, lobby restrooms, pool area, vacuuming hallways, or other areas deemed necessary to provide a clean, comfortable environment for guests.
• Handle complaints efficiently and courteously.
• Assist other departments as needed during heavy need times.
• Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

• High School Diploma is preferred.
• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Standing and walking 100% of the time with lifting and bending.
• The ability to see and hear.
• Able to speak and understand English
• Computer literate.
• Strong ability to communicate well with guests
• Knowledge of area preferred
