Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Housekeeper/Operations Manager to oversee the housekeeping department at our hotel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. They will be responsible for overseeing and managing the housekeeping department while also being able to assist in other areas if necessary. This is a key leadership role that requires strong management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Create boards for housekeepers and inspect rooms for arrivals on a daily basis
- Ensure that all public areas are clean and well-maintained by assigning tasks to the appropriate associates
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and standards to maintain a high level of cleanliness and optimize guest scores
- Coordinate with other departments (front desk & maintenance) to ensure efficient daily operations
- Monitor inventory levels of linens, cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- Monitor and drive guest scores based on Hyatt's score program HySat Medallia
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, such as employee attendance, employee productivity and overall department budgets
- Act as Manager on Duty as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping management role is required
- Strong technological skills are required
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices and procedures
- Knowledge of front desk operations and/or ability to learn
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning products, techniques, and equipment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and regulations
