Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Deployment Manager to join our GPGS PMO (Global Property & Guest Services Project Management Organization) team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Global Hotel Operational Services team, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. The Role

The Deployment Manager of the GPGS PMO team will work with the Senior Deployment Manager to design global project-specific deployment strategies to evolve the project delivery of systems into both hotel operations and within our contact center hubs as required. Responsible for assessing, analyzing, and identifying an optimal deployment strategy for projects or new technologies handed over from product owners for implementation to Hyatt hotels or within contact center hubs. The Deployment Manager will identify where work can be shifted from hotel or contact center colleagues to the deployment team, will identify the skill sets needed and organize appropriate training for the deployment team, will partner with vendors of solutions to strategize the most efficient path for success, and will build the deployment timelines for each project. Once complete, the Deployment Manager will present and train the overall strategy to the deployment team to kick off implementation.

  • Assist with the design and development of a deployment plan that emphasizes reducing the time and effort of hotel and/or contact center colleagues.
  • Create customized deployment activity schedules and work closely with product owners and vendors to ensure feedback and requests are being addressed as needed.
  • Ability to communicate deployment plans and strategies to resources clearly and succinctly, ensuring their success in leading hotels and contact centers through the deployment journey.
  • Identify skills and training needed for the implementation of each system and organize training for deployment teams.
  • Collaborate with the activation and adoption teams to maintain continuous improvements in the delivery of technology to hotel operations.
  • Work effectively across functions, regions, operating models, and brands by developing strong working relationships with peers, hotel colleagues, and contact center colleagues to deliver successful services.
  • Colleagues are also encouraged to visit Hyatt properties regularly to maintain updated business practices along with on-the-job coaching.
  • Global travel required.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • Diverse hotel management experience in Operations (5 years)
  • Managing projects with multiple waves
  • Developing training for a global audience (3 years)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with information or items as required
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and with the intellectual ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-moving, and customer-focused environment

Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience with a major hotel company
  • CAPM preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to perform analysis, define new processes, recognize process improvements, and drive technology initiatives and projects
  • Experience with core Hyatt Systems – Opera, Reserve, SynXis, Envision, PRiO, Colleague Advantage – along with supporting applications – Point of Sales, Digital platforms, Spa applications, and Guest Services applications.
