Tidal is the signature restaurant of Hyatt at Olive 8, providing guests with pairings showcasing the bounty of the Pacific Ocean, and the harvests from the lands of the Pacific Northwest. Tidal takes great pride in working with our local community to ensure quality and dependability, and serve fresh sea & farm –to-table dishes to our guests.

Bartenders are responsible for providing libations and offering customized recommendations. The right person should be familiar with the latest in mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards, with a focus on maintaining an attractive bar. This position offers opportunity for casual conversation, creativity and allows for building on one’s style and previous bartending experiences. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, personable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Preferred candidates will have understanding of state and local serving guidelines.

Responsibilities to include:

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer and wine with precision and efficiency.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized bar area, restocking supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation to ensure the well-being of our guests and team members
• Assist in training new team members and maintaining high standards of service excellence

The hourly rate for this position is $18.40 to $19.79. The starting rate for this position is $18.40/hr. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for four years, which is $18.77. For those colleagues who are in a lead role this position offers $19.40. For those colleagues in a four year lead role, this position offers $19.79.

This position earns additional compensation from gratuities and tips given at the guest’s discretion to the Tidal serving team, as well as service charges on applicable orders.

• Previous experience as a bartender in a high-volume restaurant or bar
• Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, including classic cocktails and current trends
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and colleagues alike
• Flexiblity to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight throughout shift
• MAST and Food Handler's Cards required
