Hy-Tek is Hiring a Proposal Manager Near Florence, KY
- Oversees the development of proposals, bids, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients.
- Coordinates with internal contributors to ensure content is complete and accurate to maximize business opportunities.
- Participates in all phases of the document development cycle, including project scope and requirements.
- Manages and meets proposal deadlines by establishing project priorities and due dates for proposals.
- Establishes a source of templates, standard language, product collateral, exhibits and other data resources to create high-quality and accurate reports.
- Develops the base proposal templates for use by all sales team members within Hy-Tek.
- Leads each division within Hy-Tek to keep all proposal templates current.
- Establishes a database of supplier proposals content for use in the Hy-Tek proposal process.
- Serve as a subject matter expert regarding technical and contractual proposal content and language.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
- Knowledge of material handling systems (equipment and software) used in a manufacturing/warehouse environment highly preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in the material handling industry is preferred.
- Degree in Engineering, Technical Communication/Writing or equivalent writing experience preferred.
- Ability to follow strict guidelines and apply standards, styles, and templates to ensure common documentation look and feel.
- Ability to understand complex, technical information and communicate it in practical language.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to build partnerships throughout the proposal process.
- Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously, manage time, meet deadlines, and set priorities with minimal direction.
- Strong English communication and writing skills required.
- Travel on an as need basis.
- Working in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
- Working in a stationary position for an extended period.
- Moving or traversing for an extended period.
- Operating computers for an extended period.
- Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
