Job Responsibilities

  • Performing emergency skills, such as managing respiratory, trauma, cardiac emergencies, and patient assessments
  • Conducting record keeping, filing, data entry as required by the project, other than patient or treatment related records
  • Maintaining comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environments
  • Providing routine information related to medical treatments and procedures
  • Measuring and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, and escorting patients to treatment facilities as needed
  • Documenting and recording all patient interactions and care provided
  • Participating in and/or conducting “man - down” drills
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned
  • Regularly pushing, pulling and/or lifting up to 50 lbs. Throughout the work shift

Job Requirements

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception. All while wearing OSHA approved protective shielding and lenses
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and must be able to wear a respirator, such as a SCBA when required
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, occasionally in very small spaces; talk or hear and taste or smell
  • Must be able to pass a medical fitness review
  • Must be able to pass a detailed criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass a detailed motor vehicle record background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen
  • Must have a favorable driving record for the past (5) years

Education / Certifications

  • Local State License / Certification a plus, or ability to get the Local State License
  • Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent(s) preferred
