Adopted by military units, law enforcement, tactical professionals, and recreational enthusiasts the world over, our technology has thoroughly disrupted the suppressor industry while also solidifying its position as the gold standard in suppression systems.

American manufacturing will always be a pillar of our brand and we proudly transform all our suppressors in Millcreek, Utah. Our team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable professionals is looking for a COO to become an integral part of our operations.

We are currently seeking a passionate COO to provide the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures to grow HUXWRX and protect financial strength and operating efficiency. This key role achieves this through a respectful and energetic style, guided by our company goals and objectives. Previous experience in the firearms industry is highly preferred. 

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing business strategies, plans, and procedures, setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth while establishing policies that promote company culture and vision.
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data, metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Daily Management to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the company's vision, mission and objectives.
  • Assist in developing an operating plan annually in keeping with the company's goals and in consultation with the CEO.
  • Address and offer solutions related to the adequacy of staffing, equipment, facilities or space, materials, supplies, and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups.
  • Reporting matters such as compliance with goals and workplace incidents to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
  • Oversee plant operations, administer processes and procedures, and implement continuous improvement.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of all production and testing machines and equipment.
  • Prepare budgets, monitor and control consumption of consumables and direct variables to ensure compliance with established norms.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of workforce and resources available to achieve maximum output. Introduce improvements in relation to productivity, quality, or material utilization rate.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Conduct analysis of quality related issues daily and provide corrective and preventive actions as required.
  • Improve the quality of products, processes, and systems by imparting related knowledge.
  • Review of system compliance documentation, API documents, and logbooks; ensure systems and procedures for all stations are in compliance with standards.
  • Report and analyze any critical downtime of operations and initiate improvement.
  • Safeguard the wellbeing and safety of employees, provide safety education, and promote awareness among employees.
  • Ensure effective use of ERP system.
  • Proven track record of driving best practices, improving productivity and profitability throughout operations with leading-edge management practices, innovative use of technology, cost reduction strategies and high-quality investment decisions.
  • Prior experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management {Quality Assurance/Control) and/or similar productivity and preventative maintenance tools and methodologies required.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving statistical tools. Ability to identify abnormalities and apply problem solving techniques.
  • Computer software experience in MS Office, SAP Business One or similar software
  • A track record of success in managing, mentoring, coaching and directing employees.
  • Experience in developing teams and promoting growth within the organization through training.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years as VP Operations or 3 years as COO
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership ability
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning management
  • Experience in the firearms industry is a plus 

Position:

  • In-office role at our main Salt Lake City facility
