The Financial Accounting Manager is a key leader responsible for managing the period-end financial closings and consolidations to parent companies. Partners with other business and functional areas to ensure operating results are appropriately accounted for in accordance with HTI’s financial policies and US GAAP. Key Areas of Responsibility: Lead the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate submission of financial statements to parent companies in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS. Responsible for the review of the completeness and accuracy of monthly journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Research appropriate accounting guidance for new transactions and/or accounting alternatives and be able to summarize the financial statement impact. Build and coach a collaborative team of accounting professionals that understands the accounting systems and leverages this understanding to strengthen and improve financial processes. Lead cross functional accounting projects; define implement and maintain processes and procedures to strengthen and improve the monthly accounting process. Responsible for general ledger account set up in financial software and master data. Assist in budget preparation, monthly financial variance analysis and ad hoc reporting. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, internal controls and automation in the month-end close process and successfully implement these improvements. Support internal and external auditors with control testing and other documentation requests. Key business partner in system upgrades or enhancements. Keep abreast of new accounting pronouncements that may be applicable to the company and update accounting policies as needed. Manage Fixed Assets personnel ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation of assets and assisting in the management of the capital expenditure budget and depreciation forecast. Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent; CPA is preferred 10 years work experience in audit or corporate accounting role(s) and a strong understanding of GAAP.
