Logistics Coordinator
Facility: Trenton Plants
General Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the functional management of day-to-day logistics- specific operations. The position requires extensive contact with ground and air transporters, brokers, and internal departments within Hutchinson. The incumbent must demonstrate superior problem solving, and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly/effectively with upper Management.
Specific Duties
•Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
•Review sales orders for accurate information based on the purchase orders.
•Review sales orders for shipping terms and payment terms. Send Performa invoices and receive credit approvals from accounting.
•Responsible for the service, documentation, and product shipments to international and domestic locations.
•Review other developments and manage freight costs.
•Implement cost efficiency in freight cost to ship international and domestic shipments.
•Ensure all export guidelines, rules, and procedures are followed.
•Ensure customer orders are processed promptly.
•Assist and coordinate shipping with Production and Shipping staff.
•Maintain accurate tracking of all shipments from start to finish with international shipments, including, international shipments and schedule trucking deliveries, air shipments and containers for domestic and overseas shipments.
•Maintain all AES entry and license information using a spreadsheet.
•Create and distribute invoices for each shipment.
•Conduct follow-up on meetings with freight forwarders and truckers every few months.
•Maintain logs and shipments in Vantage.
•Follow-up on daily shipments.
•Responsible for daily filing of customer correspondences.
•Create and distribute shipping paperwork.
•Cross-train in all areas of Logistics (Domestic, International, and Customer Portals, etc.)
•Oversee functions of the Logistic Department
•Facilitate Training

Qualifications
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
•Well versed with AES entry and ITAR license shipments.
•Experience with ERP or logistics systems, such as Vantage.
•Minimum of five years of experience
•Bachelor's Degree preferred.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, for viewing a computer terminal distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception vision for driving and ability to adjust focus.

•Safety Glasses conforming to ANSI Z87.1 or higher
•Steel Toe Safety Shoes conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
•Hearing protection conforming to OSHA General Industry Standards 29 CFR 1910
