Hours: Can begin as early as 8:00 p.m. or as late as 10:00 p.m., Variable days with weekends required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential functions:

• Daily cleaning, of buildings including dusting, cleaning windows, floors, walls, and furniture, restrooms/restroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, etc., as well as other customary custodial duties. Included within these duties is the use of customary custodial tools and equipment.
• Assist other employees as needed.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, and/or weekend hours as necessary.
• Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully perform the responsibilities of the position.
• Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

• Serve actively on campus committees.

Secondary –

• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director and/or Coordinators of the Facilities department.

QUALIFICATIONS (Essential):

• Custodial experience preferred.
• Must be a neat, clean individual portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members.
• The ability to work as needed, including day, evening, and weekend hours substituting for absent coworkers.
• The ability to cooperate with students, college personnel, and the community.

• Physical requirements include but not limited to the following: safely pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, stooping, walking, carrying, climbing, and regularly lifting up to 50 pounds; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc.
• May work in adverse conditions with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease; The ability to understand words and respond effectively and appropriately; Visual acuity to view a computer terminal; use appropriate judgment and to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations; Medium/Indoor and outdoor work environment -

HOURLY WAGE and STATUS :

The hourly rate of pay is $11.47. Then, 90 day and 180-day successful evaluations bring base pay to $12.00/hr. This part-time support staff position is 12 months annual, at-will, and nonexempt. This position is KPERS eligible but is not eligible for other benefits due to the part-time status.
