Hussey Gay Bell is Hiring a Forsyth County Construction Inspector Near Atlanta, GA
The Construction Inspector will be responsible for overseeing the construction administrative aspects of projects designed by the firm. Construction observation will be required to confirm the construction performed meets the requirements of the contract plans and specification. You will work closely with Hussey Gay Bell engineers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
Core Position Responsibilities:
Become familiar with Forsyth County development regulations.
Follow an observation schedule as produced by the civil engineer for various projects. .
Be familiar with general construction means and methods.
Observe and report on site construction activities including:
Hardscape and landscape items
Irrigation installation
Water, sewer and storm sewer installation
Erosion control installation and maintenance
Attend OAC meetings as needed.
Report to the civil engineer for the project.
Minimum Requirements:
Site construction inspector with 10 years of experience or a retired civil engineer with a construction management background.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred. A bachelor's degree may not be required if the applicant can document significant similar job-related experience.
Proven experience in construction management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering projects.
Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Familiarity with construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Primavera, AutoCAD).
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
