POSITION SUMMARY:
This person is responsible for developing, implementing, and championing initiatives for quality assurance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. This position is critical for mitigating risks, leveraging opportunities, and ensuring conformity with established practices and standards in the manufacturing of construction equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Department Management
* Conduct performance appraisals and provide regular performance feedback and development opportunities to team
* Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
* Act as a lead/change agent in support of company initiatives
* Structure the department to maximize efficiency
* Responsible for departmental expense budget
* Provide guidance to staff when unique circumstances arise. Act as decision maker in issues elevated to higher level
* Oversee daily workflow of department
* Responsible for ensuring facility and departmental safety and environmental objectives
Quality Management
* Develop and implement Quality Management System
* Develop and manage internal product, process and system audits
* Manage supplier quality support through quality assurance and monitoring
* Manage customer quality support through feedback loops and problem solving
* Oversee supplier quality audits, inspection process and quality controls
* Ensure after sales product satisfaction support by providing feedback loop and problem solving management of customer complaints
* Establish, monitor and analyze customer/supplier relations
* Oversee safety system management processes and procedures
Operational Excellence
* Support process improvement and industrial engineering initiatives
* Support strategic planning and deployment initiatives
* Analyze, develop, and implement measurement systems and performance targets

* Able to solve new or unfamiliar problems and trouble-shoot problems independently
* CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
* Strong quality systems knowledge
* Strong production process knowledge
* Strong product knowledge
* Working knowledge of HCP business dynamics
* Strong knowledge of PRMS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* BS degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience required
* At least 3-5 years working experience in quality related position
* 3 or more years of Supervisor/Managerial experience
