Job Summary:

FORT STEWART & HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD

Primary responsibility will be to augment the Brigade Property Book Section at each of the 3rd ID BCTs with brigade level GCSS-A accountability Support. Each Brigade level is responsible for a Brigade consisting of 7 battalions and HQs. Provide GCSS-A accountability support for maintaining accountability of the equipment assigned to the organizations using the GCSS-A standard automation system.

Logistic Analyst III L3: Experience working with LMI-DST, FMS Web, Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-Army), Army Vantage, Microsoft Office Suite, and ten (10) years’ experience in supporting Brigade Level Asset Visibility & GCSS-A Property Accountability efforts.

Provide the G4 GCSS-A Echelon Below Division Section with GCSS-A property accountability support. Each Echelon Below Division level is responsible for an organization consisting of seven (7) battalions and HQ’s and TDA.

Concept of support includes the following:

  • Reporting of monthly sensitive item inventories, 10% inventories, Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DODAAC) and Unit Identification Code (UIC) management for the individual companies assigned or attached to the BCT and providing visibility of Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL).
  • Properly handle/maintain accountability of sensitive item reporting requirements for items such as weapons, night vision devices, global positioning devices, and communications security (COMSEC) devices.
  • Maintain the Modified Table of Organization & Equipment (MTOE) and Common Table of Allowances (CTA) non-expendable GCSS-A accountability management in support of units during pre-deployment, deployment, maintenance while in storage, post deployment recovery operations.
  • Provide supply management support and a working knowledge of current US Army supply policies and procedures, management, and reporting procedures. Track all GCSS-A supply requisitions. Follow-up and expedite delivery of supplies for equipment utilized, displaced or otherwise placed in limited use/administrative storage due to contingency missions. Provide technical assistance for GCSS-A supply accountability procedures and make recommendations for viable problem solutions to the command level.
  • Execute, with a high degree of accuracy and proficiency, all GCSS-A accountability operations, to include maintaining GCSS-A records for the accountability of equipment which includes Rear-D Equipment, training sets and MTOE equipment owned or controlled by each BCT. Utilizing GCSS-A, augment the BDE GCSS-A Accountability Offices to achieve: 100% GCSS-A accountability through the accurate posting of transactions within 7 days of document receipt; maintain complete supporting document files; using asset visibility functions, identify and resolve equipment on hand (EOH) readiness, property accountability and CL II/CL IV (non-expendable) and CLVII management issues and shortfalls.
  • Assist units in acquiring and expediting Class II/IV and VII from approved sources.
  • Augment the 3ID BCTs, to include the 3 SB and the DHHB/DIVARTY, to achieve goals through performance to include the following: 1) maintain brigade level asset visibility and identify and resolve EOH readiness, GCSS-A accountability, and CL II and CL VIII management issues and shortfalls through active contact with XVIII ABN CORPS G4, FORSCOM, ASC, AMC and LCMC Item Managers; 2) Provide 100% GCSS-A accountability through the accurate posting of transactions within 7 days of document receipt; and 3) Maintain complete supporting document files; and 4) Coordinate timely receipt and issue of equipment through SSAs, Force Modernization fielding programs, and lateral transfers.
  • Secret Clearance Required
