Who We Are Looking For

Hurliman Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring a full-time Construction Project Administrator to join our team in Spokane, Washington. This role coordinates and exercises functional control for the tracking, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of commercial construction projects. Fully proficient with the technical, leadership, and communication skills required to assist with complex projects from estimate to close-out, this role will manage tracking all aspects of project financials, costing, safety, quality, subcontracting, labor, and equipment. This role will work in tandem with the Project Manager and General Superintendent to ensure proper execution of work including but not limited to:

  • Assisting in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews
  • Performing quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
  • Assisting in the preparation of work plans and work packages
  • Assisting in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
  • Participating in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
  • Ordering and scheduling material deliveries
  • Performing material takeoffs from drawings, specifications and other contract documents
  • Performing basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations
  • Assisting Project Manager to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use
  • Assisting in preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, and performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested
  • Assisting in scheduled maintenance and performing updates as directed by others
  • Assisting in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandums
  • Assisting with entering data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management
  • Assisting in generating change orders, billings and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager

What We Want From You (Minimum Requirements)

  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

What We Want From You (Ideal Requirements)

  • 2 years' construction admin experience
  • Familiar/proficient with Bluebeam, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office
  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related
  • Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
