The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.
Education required: Graduate of State board School of Practical Nursing required
License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or multi-state licensure required. BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as LPN
*** Will start out at a flat rate of $25/hr until department orientation is completed. After completion of department orientation pay rate will change to $40/hr.
