Overview

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for bed management and overall management of patient throughput. Additionally, the clinical supervisor provides support to the nursing leadership group by providing supervision to all nursing units during non-business hours, weekends and holidays. Further, the clinical supervisor provides onsite coverage for other departments and functions: infection control, employee health, public/media relations, patient representative, hospital administration, emergency management.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure. Experience: minimum of five years hospital experience preferred and two years leadership experience such as charge nurse of team leader. Additional Skill/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. ACLS preferred.
