STARTING DATE: Immediately
RANGE OF PAY: $23.00 / hour
WORK HOURS: (to be determined) 8 hours per day
CLASSIFICATION: HESPA
OTHER BENEFITS: Illinois Municipal Fund Retirement (IMRF) qualifying job, Benefits available

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain the entire fleet of school buses and other ancillary vehicles owned by the district. Perform necessary mechanical repairs to fleet vehicles, and other duties as assigned. Must provide own hand tools.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED with one to two years of verifiable previous experience and/or training of similar vehicle maintenance: including diesel experience and familiarity with AC units; a valid CDL Class B License preferred, will train if needed; certified mechanic with diagnostic experience is preferred; previous experience with Cummins engines a plus. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must be willing to attend trainings that support the work tasks necessary in this role. Must be able to maintain accurate inventory and work orders.
