**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for developing and writing grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other grant-making organizations. Our initial project is to apply for a US Department of Education grant under the Education Innovation and Research program with a due date of July 22.

**Duties:**

- Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals

- Collaborate with team members to gather information necessary for proposals

- Manage grant applications and maintain a calendar of submissions and deadlines

- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and submission guidelines

- Develop relationships with funders and maintain regular communication

- Assist in creating budgets and financial reports for grant applications

**Requirements:**

- Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or proposal writing

- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills

- Ability to conduct strategic planning and budgeting for grant proposals

- Familiarity with Raiser's Edge or similar fundraising software is a plus

- Knowledge of financial report writing and contract management is advantageous
