Position Title: Preschool Coordinator

Terms of Employment: 185 Day Contract

Evaluated By: Director of Early Childhood


Job Summary

The Preschool Coordinator is responsible for managing all requirements for securing and maintaining the Legally License Exempt Provider status and Paths to Quality Level 3 accreditation in all preschool classrooms throughout the district. In addition to Paths to Quality accreditation the Preschool Coordinator will also be in charge of securing funding via On My Way PreK, the Child Care and Development Fund and Child Care Voucher program.


Employment Requirements

  • Valid Indiana Teaching License


Essential Job Duties

  • Communicates with all staff to ensure required trainings are completed
  • May provide training as needed.
  • Each staff member must participate in 20 hours annually
  • Responsible for collecting all documentation of this annually
  • Responsible for providing new staff orientations including:
  • Orientation training
  • Scheduling fingerprinting
  • Arranging for TB test and 5-panel drug screen
  • Assign invitation to I-Lead Indiana Account
  • Collecting documentation for current education and subsequent required training for all preschool staff
  • Organize all documentation in a binder that is housed at each building
  • Management of all online accounts through I-Lead
  • Track attendance of all preschool students to report for On My Way PreK and CCDF Child Care Vouchers
  • Responsible for implementation of our annual program evaluation to be completed by families and staff
  • Ensure that our written curriculum reflects the program philosophy and goals
  • Responsible for updating Parent Program Orientation Books and see that they meet Paths to Quality requirements
  • Responsible for printing and posting the monthly fire/emergency drills in each classroom.
  • Schedule CPR/Pediatric First Aid for staff with HCCSC trainer
  • Create annual PD Schedule for staff in collaboration with Director of Early Childhood
  • All preschool staff must have 20 hours of continuing education each year
  • Collaborate and provide support for all staff to ensure requirements are completed and maintained throughout the year for Paths to Quality & On My Way PreK

  • Tactfully and courteously respond to requests and inquire/complaints from the general public and staff
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community
  • Efficiently use cleaning materials, supplies and equipment
