This position will work with the Agency's Protective Service program. Work includes taking reports of need, investigating reports for persons over 60, arranging for services to ensure safety. Being on-call per set schedule (including some weekends) to receive/investigate reports of need. Work with State Police and court system, including testifying in cases as needed, in relation to protective service and possible guardianship. Knowledge of protective service laws and regulations (OAPSA), intervention and court procedures, general social casework principles. Highly confidential position. Knowledge of available aging and community support services and assist consumer with obtaining services. Excellent verbal, communication and computer skills.
Care Manager will be a registered nurse or possess a Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, gerontology or other related field and one year of experience in direct service to older persons.
