Position#Summary Provides quality care focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience. # Primary Position Responsibilities 1. Facilitate and Coordinate Total Care 2. Maintain Professional Development 3. Patient Advocate 4. Maintain Patient Safety 5. Other duties as assigned # Qualifications Minimum Education: Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: None Preferred: One year Endoscopy, Sterile Processing or Surgical experience License, Registry or Certification: Required: None Preferred: Specialty certification within 2 years of employment Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education. Unit specific skills may include but not limited to the facilitation of procedures and ensuring that the Endoscopy department environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that all procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.# Must demonstrate expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique.# Skills will be determined by a challenge exam and/or skill performance or by completion of a Staff Development course.# Instrument handling and cleaning skills with decontamination experience needed.# Must be able to wear PPE for extended period of time.##Familiarity with infection prevention practices and good communication skills.
