Position Summary
Oversees daily operations and coordinates work activities and schedules. Supervises and evaluates staff and oversees compliance with all HHS and department policies and procedures as well as the Patient Satisfaction survey process.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1.Provides technical and non-technical leadership to IR staff.
2.Sets forth rules and regulations governing departmental operations and work performance.
3.Assures that all National Patient Safety Goals are strictly followed.
4.Assures high-quality interventional radiography is performed by all technologists on all shifts.
5.Assures that high levels of Patient Satisfaction are maintained and continuous quality improvement achieved.
6.Sets goals for department and maintains current and keen awareness of innovations pertaining to interventional radiology.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences preferred
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Sciences
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
3 years as registered interventional radiographer
Preferred:
Advanced training in interventional techniques
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
ARRT Registry in Radiography and Interventional Radiology or registry-eligible and NJDEP License in Xray. Current CPR/BLS certification for Health Care Providers

None
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Supervisory/leadership skills. Good Communication skills.
Preferred:
Advanced training in various and/or uncommon interventional techniques
