Primary Position ResponsibilitiesMaintains a neat, orderly, and safe aquatic environment.
Properly performs duties according to established guidelines.
Understands importance of complete and accurate Aquatic Log entries.
Recognizes the value of member satisfaction through positive interactions with aquatic users, instructors, CPOs, and supervisors.
Work Contact Group (Internal/External)Wellness Center personnel, nurses, therapists, patients, members, visitors, swim lesson participants & other allied health professionals.
Reporting RelationshipsReports To (position):Assistant Director Health and Wellness Center

QualificationsMinimum Education:Required:None
Preferred:High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred:Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):At least 1 year lifeguard experience
Required:License, Registry or Certification:Certified Lifeguard, includes CPR/AED/FIRST AID, WSI, CPO certifications
Preferred:None
Required:Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:â—
Ability to direct and participate in the extrication of bodies from the water in an emergency, familiarity with backboard and other water safety devices.

Ability to communicate with different age groups regarding water safety rules and/or instruction.
