Engineering Manager Summary:
The Engineering Manager will lead a greenfield manufacturing operation. This role will oversee a headcount of 55 employees in a 24/7 operation, ensuring safety, driving quality excellence, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor employees in foam manufacturing operations and processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Manage Quality Management System (QMS) to uphold product quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analysis to address quality issues and drive corrective actions.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions for manufacturing challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, process efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Lead start-up activities and ongoing operations, including extrusion processes, product changeovers, and equipment maintenance.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training programs for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with Plant Leadership Team to develop and deploy strategies to meet business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in foam or plastics industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a 24/7 operation.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and achieving business results.
