Engineering Manager Summary:
The Engineering Manager will lead a greenfield manufacturing operation. This role will oversee a headcount of 55 employees in a 24/7 operation, ensuring safety, driving quality excellence, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor employees in foam manufacturing operations and processes, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Manage Quality Management System (QMS) to uphold product quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis to address quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions for manufacturing challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, process efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead start-up activities and ongoing operations, including extrusion processes, product changeovers, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training programs for manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with Plant Leadership Team to develop and deploy strategies to meet business objectives.
Engineering Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in foam or plastics industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a 24/7 operation.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and achieving business results.
