Hunter Engineering is Hiring a Material Clerk - Madison Near Madison, MS

Do you have a passion for warehousing and operations? We’re hiring Material Clerks at our Distribution Center in Madison, MS. The shift hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. If you possess:

  • The ability to receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the Distribution Center
  • Basic computer experience to enter records and prepare and maintain inventory cards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift certification required.

As a Material Clerk:

What you will do:

  • Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the Distribution Center
  • Initiates purchase requisitions for materials and supplies.
  • Verifies material received against requisition, shipping notices or invoices to determine irregularities.
  • Completes records concerned with quantity cost and type of material received, stored, and issued in plant.
  • Operates Industrial machinery (I.E. Forklift, Pallet truck, etc.)
  • Uses computer to enter records and prepares and maintains inventory cards.
  • Reads production schedule, customer order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
  • Opens bales, crates, or other containers.
  • Must have ability to read blueprints and/or manuals as a guide for repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties.
  • Comply with Hazard Communications program requirements and safety requirements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift certification required.
  • 1 years Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Must score Silver or higher on NCRC/Work Keys exam.
