Hunter College High School is seeking a full-time Chemistry teacher to start September 2024. We are a 7-12 school run by Hunter College (City University of New York) and serve gifted students from all five boroughs of New York City. We offer a rigorous curriculum that includes weekly lab sessions for all grades. We are not part of the NYC Department of Education, but follow their salary schedule (based on degrees and experience).

This is a full-time, leave-replacement position eligible for benefits. A bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry or a related field is expected, and chemistry teaching experience is preferred. Responsibilities include: planning daily lessons that follow our pacing calendar, grading student assessments, supervising student labs to assure chemical safety, and working collaboratively with other science teachers.
