Tasks and Responsibilities
50% cashier/stocker work, 50% office/computer work.
The cashier/stocker part:
- Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while talking to customers.
- Recommend products to customers to ensure they get the products they want.
- Completing transactions in a manner that maintains proper cash control and accuracy of point-of-sale purchases.
- Handling money and all its forms while being responsible for it.
- Unload the inventories from the truck.
- Stock aisles and freezers; build and maintain displays.
- Break down paper boxes.
- Maintain the store to promote a clean image, including sweeping, mopping, wiping, and dumping the trash.
The office/computer part:
- After receiving the shipment, update the items’ quantity, cost, and prices in the POS system according to the invoices.
- Add new items to the POS system
- Print price tags/labels for the products
- Prepare low inventory lists and order items from our vendors
- Collect orders from our restaurant customers and bill them. Help restaurant customers to pick up their items.
Physical:
- Position requires lifting, bending, standing, and walking frequently.
- Must have the ability to lift 20 - 50 pounds (rice bag, box of jars).
- Position requires sometimes working fast.
Knowledge:
- Typing speed 50wpm or faster for office work
- Calculation skills (math) for doing quantity/price updates
- Basic knowledge about emails, web browsing, and computer use.
- Basic knowledge of WORD, EXCEL, GOOGLE sheets, PDF preferred (there will be training on software)

Growth Path:
- Training stage 1: learning cashier and stock duties. learning inventory
- Training stage 2: learning to receive shipments and updating the database according to invoices
- Training stage 3: learning invoicing restaurant customers and printing price tags/labels
- Training stage 4: learning ordering process
Bi-Weekly Pay:
Training stage 1: $10/hr
Training stage 2-3: $11/hr
Training stage 4: $12/hr
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
