The Customer Relations representative is responsible for responding to all incoming calls and emails for orders and resolving customer service related issues in a timely and professional manner. To be successful in this role, this person possesses a customer-centric attitude, has strong attention to detail, and has the ability to successfully multi-task without compromising on service or professionalism.
Essential Duties:
- The following reflects essential functions for this role but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
- Take wine orders via phone and email assuring 100% data collection and accuracy
- Quickly and effectively resolve customer service issues using active listening, patience and ability to de-escalate the situation
- Possess the innate ability to turn customer service problems into opportunities
- Present additional purchasing or visitation opportunities relevant to customer history
- Develop long term, personal relationships with customers built on trust
- Reactivate and acquire new members
- Keep customer data up-to-date in the CRM
- Conduct proactive customer-service outreach (credit card updates, welcoming new members, etc)
- Participate in brand trainings and wine tastings
- Attend and/or participate in occasional consumer events
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a customer service role for a premium wine company or comparable industry
- Professional and thoughtful written and verbal communicator
- Knowledge of wine, food & local tourism industry
- Knowledge of wine shipping logistics such as state laws and weather impacts
- Proficient with PC software such as Outlook, Word & Excel
- Possess a high degree of data entry accuracy
- Familiarity with wine-based CRM systems such as eCellar
- Familiarity with Wine Shipping a plus
Physical requirements
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to work at a desk work station
- Must be able to operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, Fax machine

The wage range for this role is $23.00 to $27.00 hourly. This role is also eligible for a very competitive benefits.
