1. Collects, analyzes, and records demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data from multiple sources, and obtains other information necessary for scheduling and registration.
2.  Interviews patients to accurately determine scheduling needs.
3. Coordinates the scheduling of appointments for outpatient diagnostic testing and procedures for the hospital to best meet the patients and department’s needs.
4. Utilizes computerized central scheduling system to provide customers with timely, courteous and proficient scheduling.
5. Provides instruction to patients in preparation for visit or procedure, where appropriate.
6. Cancels or reschedules appointments based on changes in provider availability.
7. Verify insurance each time an appointment is made.
