POSITION SUMMARY:

HumanKind’s Adult Services department is seeking an intern to support our Quality Assurance and Risk Management initiative within our Sponsored Residential Homes Program. This position will offer valuable hands-on experience in ensuring the quality and safety of services provided to Adults with developmental disabilities. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in conducting quality assurance audits and reviews of program documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standard and best practices.
• Collaborate with program staff to identify areas for quality improvement based on audit findings and stakeholder feedback.
• Help implement quality improvement plans to enhance service delivery and participant outcomes.
• Support the maintenance of risk management protocols, including incident reporting, investigation, and analysis.
• Participate in meetings to discuss quality metrics, risk factors, and improvement strategies.
• Contribute to the development and dissemination of training materials related to quality assurance and risk management.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting on key performance indicators and quality measures.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excited about learning experience in the Sponsored Home field, with receiving a true understanding of Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
• Open to gaining practical experience in quality assurance and risk management in a supportive and mission-driven environment.
• Ready to be provided support in your professional development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing or recent graduate with background in individuals with Development Disabilities, Quality Assurance, or Risk Management.
