Humane Society of Bay County is Hiring a Veterinary Technician Near Panama, FL

General Summary. We are seeking a highly motivated veterinary technician to run our clinic at our Thrift Store location while the shelter is being re-built! We are looking for an energetic and skilled veterinary technician that is interested in a small, intimate clinic setting. We are not a full service vets office, so you would be expected to have full knowledge about the following: administering vaccines, heart worm and FIV/FeLV testing. Since we are not a full service vet, we do not have a doctor on staff nor will we have other vet techs. This position is ideal for someone who works well independently, comfortable with animals of different aggression levels, and willing to work with the retail staff who will be your assistants. We only service cats and dogs, and it is by appointment only. The hours posted are a reflection of the demand of appointments, so if things pick up there is a possibility for more hours. Since we are by appointment, you have the flexibility of figuring out a schedule that works best for you!
