Our growing holistic therapy practice is seeking a PRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to support our couples, family, and individual therapy practice. Our practice supports primarily Millennial and Gen Z Texans, and we are looking for practitioners who are eager to support diverse clients as they move through their human experience. Logistics:

  • Type: PRN with shifts including daytime, evenings, and weekends. This role will operate as an independent contractor position.
  • Location: Hybrid with current office space in Brazoria County and Harris County office space opening within a year.
  • Hours: Set your own schedule seeing about 10 clients per week
  • Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with licensure and experience; pay per session, including no-show and late-cancellation fees; direct deposit;
  • Start Date: Late Summer orFall 2024

What you’ll do:

  • Provide clinical assessments for patients seeking mental health care including diagnostic assessments, psychiatric workups, and treatment planning including medication management
  • Work with individuals who are working through mental health concerns like depression, anxiety, and trauma

We’re excited to hear from you if you:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited university or graduate program in psychiatric mental health nursing
  • Have 3 years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans
  • Have an unrestricted license and valid DEA number in Texas
  • Independent licensure and/or working with a collaborating MD
  • Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • Registration with the state prescription monitoring program (PMP)
  • No suspension/exclusion from participation in federal healthcare programs
  • No adverse actions by any nursing board, hospital or other credentialing body in the past three years
  • Have been celebrated for your meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Cannot imagine existing without empathy for those you encounter
  • Approach problems with a solution-focused mindset
  • Excel at written and verbal communication in authentic language
  • Proactive at addressing challenges to ensure community joy and satisfaction
