Summary
Under the supervision of the Residential Director, the Residential Coordinator assists the Residential Director with program facilities, staff, and is expected to be available to provide agency-wide on-call services for clients in crisis, after hours, weekends, and holidays, as needed. This position will work closely with staff, outside vendors, partners, volunteers, donors, and clients to provide a full range of support to program and facility management, process and collect forms and fees, explain policies and procedures, order supplies and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • As a primary responder to client crises that require leadership guidance, provide crisis intervention, mediation, and referrals to clients
  • Provide oversight of residential operations and hospitality; works with residential supervisors to ensure that the emergency shelter, family healing center, and transitional housing sites maintains a full census, as well as conducts necessary outreach and engagement activities in a proactive manner to limit vacancy time.
  • Serve as an active participant of the Residential Leadership team and is the primary contact for any leadership gaps.
  • Communicate and implement policies, procedures, and safety guidelines in compliance with regulations and alignment with Human Options' mission, values, and the employee handbook; communicate and provide context to relevant, pertinent information and messaging throughout the organization, providing feedback opportunities to and from staff.
  • Provide oversight of volunteers and support in the execution of assigning tasks and clarifying roles within the program.
    • Coach, train, and support the development of staff to assure clients are receiving services and referrals in alignment with the principles of Trauma-Informed Care.
    • Assist with recruitment, hiring and onboarding of staff and volunteers
    • Communicate program and staff challenges and success' to program director and provide/implement recommendations as needed.
    • Engage staff in problem-solving challenges and barriers, then communicate results to the program director.
  • Provide consultation around relationship and family violence to the professional community.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Social Work, Public Policy, etc. or commensurate work experience.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and working knowledge of computer database program entry and report generation.
  • Complete the 40-hour Domestic Violence Advocate certification training post-hire.
