Senior Architectural Designer

Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a has a full-time opportunity for a Senior Designer. The successful candidate is one who is committed to high quality design, sustainable architecture design practices, an enthusiastic, self-starter with a desire for learning and a collaborative spirit. 

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Employment Type: 40 FT Hours

Compensation Type: Salary

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare Architectural plans for projects focused on municipalities, health care, educational, and other facilities
• Perform analysis of design and construction systems, planning studies, design layouts and construction details
• Conduct site and construction inspections for information-gathering purposes, preparing reports
• Execute material selections, and technical solutions
• Analyze design and construction systems, design layouts and construction features, which require researching, compiling and recording information for assigned project work

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 15 years' experience with Architecture/Structural Design
• Highly proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
• Ability to manage and complete multiple projects
• Ability to prepare architectural documents and specifications for projects
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to write clearly to communicate technical issues and design ideas

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
• The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
