Interior Designer

Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for an Interior Designer at our Houston office. This role supports Interior Designers, Architects, and Project Managers in preparing design and construction drawings, and assisting in construction administration for various projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Furniture specifications, interior design concept through construction documents.
• Selection of finish and materials.
• Guiding junior staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from an accredited school.
• Minimum 7 years in profession. 
• Proficient in Revit Architecture and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem solving/analysis, and technical capacity to research and apply building codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong task-oriented time management.
• Proactive, teamplayer.
• Previous interior design work experience a plus.
• Adobe Create Suite proficiency a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
• The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
