Architectural Staff III

Job Summary: As a member of our Education Studio, you will play a vital role in project design and documentation development. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from K-12 schools to higher education, and collaborate with professionals across disciplines. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can review their own work while recognizing the importance of mentorship and collaboration. Location: Houston, TX

Registration: Leed AP a plus, path to Licensure

Education: Bachelor's in Architecture required 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative design concepts.
• Proposes more effective ways to accomplish tasks, leveraging creativity and problem-solving skills to enhance outcomes.
• Seeks mentorship and guidance, while actively contributing to the mentorship of junior staff.
• Produces detailed drawings, models, and presentations to effectively communicate design solutions.
• Conducts research and analysis and ensures compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
• Coordinates with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful project delivery.
• Participates in client meetings, presentations, and reviews to gather feedback and refine design proposals.
• Actively tracks path to licensure, seeking requisite opportunities for experience necessary for growth.
• Demonstrates enjoyment of working in teams, willingly contributing, and supporting colleagues to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• 5-8 years of professional experience, preferably educational projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, and other relevant design software.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while recognizing the value of mentorship and guidance.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
• The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities
