This position will be located at our office in Germantown, MD. Responsibilities Provide functional and technical leadership to an SAP FICO team, leveraging one’s accounting functional knowledge, SAP FICO technical expertise Provide SAP knowledge, solutions, and guidance, including leveraging SAP ECC Accounting and Finance functionality. Perform configuration activities as required in SAP ECC. Assist with FICO integrations with other systems, including data preparation and process development. Provide end-user support, especially during Month-end close. Support end-users, including troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and assisting with resolving application-related problems. Participate with the Business Applications team to improve processes, quality, and reliability of business systems. Provide accurate timelines and strong follow-through for specific areas and tasks assigned. Provide project management and other duties as assigned. Basic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, accounting, or related field. Prior experience leading and managing a team responsible for supporting SAP FICO functions. Prior experience with SAP FI/CO, GL, AR, AP, FA. 7 -10 yrs of total IT experience Preferred Qualifications Strong knowledge of core accounting concepts. Ability to translate business needs into solution requirements. SAP R/3 experience configuring and supporting core accounting functions: General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Fixed Assets Results Analysis Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting. Knowledge and experience with month-end closing. Experience developing and supporting FICO related integrations, both with external partners and with other SAP modules. Knowledge of Master Data components including Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, Bank Master, BOMs, and Routings. Strong analytical skills for both problem solving and for defining how to best solve business problems with IT solutions. Strong communications skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. OpenText Vendor Invoice Management a plus. Experience supporting Kronos for time and labor entry a plus.
