EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Operations Engineer in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our Germantown, MD office. Job Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Interface with engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling process requirements of new or existing product lines. Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Requirements: Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field plus 6 months’ experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering OR Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field plus 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering. Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: mechanical engineering; MES; 5S; Kaizen; Six Sigma; Quality Tools; Lean manufacturing; VSM; PFMEA; and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
