Hugg & Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the field. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956 and were recently named one of the Best Places to Work in 2023 by Arkansas Business. More information about us can be found below or on our website at www.hugghall.com.About The PositionHeavy Equipment Mechanics / Heavy Field Service Techs function as part of the Service Team and is responsible for the care of various types of customer and company-owned heavy-classed equipment.
In This Role You Will
  • Troubleshoot and Repair a variety of heavy equipment at various customer locations to bring each unit back to operational and safety standards.
  • Effectively communicate with all involved parties including Salespeople, Coordinators, Managers, and Customers about possible downtime and job progress updates.
  • Operate in a safe, efficient manner with minimal supervision to decrease equipment downtime, while also maintaining safe working standards both on-site and during the operation of DOT rated company vehicles.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of mechanical training/education, and/or experience in a related field
  • Possessing or ability to obtain a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete jobs at customer locations
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
