Huey Magoo's Chicken Tenders is Hiring a General Manager- Lake Mary Location Near LAKE MARY, FL

A Huey Magoo’s General Manager is the Coop Master.

Consistency in the brand’s message that is trained, coached, and upheld in day-to-day operations is required. This General Manager is challenged with leading by example at our flagship restaurant. They also take an integral part of introducing the brand to our newest brand partners, supporting corporate operations and training team, and consistent execution of brand standards. In addition, always seeking to provide training and development opportunities for Huey Magoo’s team members. The location this General Manager operates in is a Corporate Training restaurant, so they must be vigilant in operating the restaurant as the pinnacle of Brand expectations. This leads to higher expectations than your average General Manager position.

Reports to the Operations & Franchise Training/Company Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform all job responsibilities and accountabilities. The items listed in this job description are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Ability to work well independently as the leader and head coach of a team environment, aptitude to overcome barriers, multitask, accomplish tasks by the established deadline and within a high-pressure environment.

Ability to lift 50lbs at a time

Proficient with safety and sanitation guidelines/expectations.

Ability to work 50-55 hours per week including days/nights and weekends.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

2 years’ experience as a General Manager in a QSR or Fast Casual restaurant setting required, 5 years preferred.

Experience with managing a FOH ordering platform.

Experience with managing a BOH inventory platform.

Experience with managing a Scheduling/Labor platform.

Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously required

Manager Food Safety certification required

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Experience leading teams of 40 team members.

Experience with ordering, inventory, scheduling, training, new store openings, and P&L reconciliation required.

Experience with online ordering systems is a plus.

Experience with 3rd party Delivery platforms is a plus.

Experience with catering orders/systems is a plus.

Multi-lingual a plus

Education directly related to training, culinary, hospitality or related fields preferred

Apply the most relevant teaching techniques to people individually. Use effective learning theories, principles, and creativity to create engagement for all employees.

Consult with the corporate operations and training departments weekly for brand cohesion.

Maintain adequate staffing and immerse yourself into constantly improving the culture of the restaurant.

Create, revise, and monitor new hire onboarding training for all team members. Inclusive of feedback protocols and onsite checkpoints, evaluations of staff members and incentives.

Provide input and information to the Operations Department that has the intent of excellence, guest experience and franchise-level profitability.

Engages in development and implementation of training material and rollout of new or revised practices.

Identify employees capable of extended development to corporate level positions and work with Director of Operations to initiate their development.

In concert with the Director of Operations & Franchise Training/Company Operations Manager to meet outlined periodic goals.

Drive bottom line results to the P&L and account for all results to the Board of Directors for Huey Magoo’s Restaurants LLC.

Be receptive to feedback and coaching from all members of the Corporate Leadership team. Collaborate with the Franchise Ops Manager, FBC, and Director of Ops for overall location goals and needs.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Train and coach compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, as well as building maintenance on property.

Assume overall responsibility for all equipment maintenance and maintain the location in good repair.

Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared to Huey Magoo’s standards.

Create, maintain, and build a culture that inspires team member inclusion and motivation to perform their duties at the highest level.

Count money and make bank deposits.

Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.

Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation.

Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.

Audit budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.

Maintain food, equipment, inventories and keep inventory records.

Schedule staff hours and assign duties.

Create structure to complete work at maximum efficiency. Sit, Think, Plan, Execute.

Perform duties in a timely manner, deliver effective results.

Build and nurture favorable business relationships with team members, brand partners, and vendors to promote a cooperative harmonious working environment. Be a Servant Leader at all times.

Relate information in an understandable delivery to peers, superiors, and outside contacts.

Keeps immediate supervisor informed of all business matters pertaining to all areas of responsibility. Takes prompt action to resolve problems or barriers and suggests alternative solutions or actions when necessary.

Maintain strict confidentiality of information within the department.

Creates periodic action plans to improve efficiency, productivity, and financial performance.

Perform other duties and special projects as needed.
