Sawgrass Nutra Labs is hiring for a Quality Control Technician!
This position is part of the Quality Management team and reports to the Quality Manager. No previous Quality Control or Assurance job related experience required but Production or Manufacturing experience is strongly desired.
Sawgrass Nutra Labs is a custom contract dietary supplements manufacturer committed to providing excellent customer service and meaningful transparency. At Sawgrass Nutra Labs, we work with brands of all sizes to custom blend dietary supplements, vitamins, and nutraceuticals in both capsules and liquids. We handle it all - ingredient sourcing, manufacturing, testing, certified cGMP production, labeling, packaging, warehousing, fulfillment, and shipping.
Job Responsibilities:
- Follow cGMP standards to continuously manage the development, implementation, and maintenance Quality processes. Facilitate authoring, implementation, and management of Quality SOP’s. Develop Controlled Document forms, as needed. Develop, revise, maintain and/or test Quality & Reliability standards to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Manage periodic quality checks, logging, and reporting. Also directly perform some of the checks, logging, and reporting as necessary.
- Offer Regulatory Compliance guidance to associates to help staff understand and appropriately interpret the requirements of relevant Quality standards and regulations.
- Record proper performance and deviations of Quality and Compliance activities.
- Maintain (CAPA) Corrective Action and Preventive Action system related to internal and external audit findings.
- Review records and reports to verify all Compliance requirements are met, i.e., Certificate of Analysis (COA),
- Master Manufacturing Record, Label.
- Draw raw material and final product samples for testing at external laboratories.
- Create COC (Chain of Custody) forms for laboratory samples.
- Release raw materials and final products from quarantine.
- Support internal and external audits and inspections and communicate with regulatory authorities (FDA, FDACS, Eurofins, Americert, USDA Organics, etc).
Job Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to focus on and give attention to details.
- Manufacturing or Production work experience desired but not required.
- Food, Beverage, or Pharmaceutical experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - We are a rapidly growing company with constant job opportunities and potential for advancement.
- Computer skills - Proficient with basic office productivity apps and tools (Google Workspace, Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs).
