Springs Advanced Technology Group is hiring an Inventory Specialist for their facility in Westminster, CO.
 
This position's primary responsibility is to proactively engage in kitting, inventory management, and outside vendor service orchestration activities to support the Company Goals of “On-Schedule”, “On-Cost” and “On-Spec” by performing the duties outlined below. Springs ATG, a part of Springs Fabrication, is a leading manufacturer and solutions provider of custom containment systems. Springs ATG delivers high-end engineering design and engineered metal products to a wide range of industries, including new and existing energy, pharmaceutical, government (DOE and DoD), mining, and remediation.

Responsibilities:

• Liaison between Document control, Mfg. Engineering, Vendors, Purchasing, and Operations to proactively ensure materials, parts, and paperwork are available for use when required per the production schedule.
• Schedules, tracks, and statuses work completed through outside processing vendors, i.e. water jet, paint & machining.
• Works closely with QA on receiving inspection priorities.
• Participates and collaborates with Project Managers on material and/or outside processing needs for current and new projects.
• Regularly participates in meetings for production issues, current status, and shop loading priorities.
• Communicates all immediate (or potential) shortages accordingly while actively working to close out each issue.
• Coordinate the movement of parts both systematically and physically and issue material/parts as required via the ERP system.
• Manages all inventory including raw materials, hardware, work in process, and finished goods

Job Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school OR six months to one year of related experience/training
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP, inventory management or POS software; experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP software a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to answer questions effectively before small groups or in departmental meetings.
• Able to get forklift certified within 90 days of hire (internal certification provided).
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships as this position will regularly interface with all departments within the company.
