Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for applying primer and paint to various surfaces. We do residential and commercial painting. Your attention to detail and knowledge of different painting techniques will be essential in ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas
- Remove fixtures and furniture as necessary before painting
- Repair damaged surfaces and perform touch-ups as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Painter in residential or commercial settings
- Proficient in concrete finishing, stucco application, and caulking
- Knowledge of color theory and the ability to match colors accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating for material and labor costs
- Experience in frame carpentry for installing fixtures and performing renovations
- Ability to restore and remodel surfaces to meet client specifications
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
