Hudson Country Manor 20 bed AFC Home is looking for a compassionate and reliable Resident Care Aide and Medical Technician. Candidates must be able to work independently and be able to maintain a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate will have experience with medication administration, patient care, and have experience working with the terminally ill. This position will be responsible for assisting patients with their daily needs and providing them with exceptional care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medication to patients on a daily basis.
• Assisting patients with self-care and comfort.
• Provide medical care to patients in the clinic and at home.
• Document patient care in the patient charts accurately.
• Organize the exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Follow infection control guidelines and precautions.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Experience:

• 1 year caregiving experience is preferred

Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working with mentally challenged and developmentally disabled residents.
• Upon hiring, 40 hours of paid training will be required. We are not interested in hiring candidates who are unwilling to train because we want candidates that will grow with us into positions of responsibility in the future.
• We want to create a team of professionals that works well together and grows together as we both learn new things about the profession of taking care of our community's Mental Health needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
