POSITION DECRIPTION: The Fresh Harvest Pantry Manager is responsible for all distribution activities of HAB&FP on-site Fresh Harvest Pantry and the Hudson School District Backpack, Raider Network(food inventory) and Snack Programs. The Fresh Harvest Pantry Manager collaborates with the HAB&FP board and volunteers to reflect the mission and strategic priorities of the organization. This position is responsible for training and supervising volunteers in the various food programs and requires skilled communication with participants, volunteers and coworkers to ensure proper service delivery, solve problems, and create program efficiencies and enhancements.
Physical Responsibilities:
Capacity to meet the daily challenges of a physically demanding position (e.g. repeated lifting of over 40 pounds, on your feet majority of the day, pallet jack operation, maneuvering of heavily loaded carts). Work includes operating in all kinds of weather.
1. Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time, perhaps the entire shift.
2. Must be able to consistently lift 15-30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
4. Must uphold HAB&FP safety and security procedures
5. Must be able to work independently with minimal on-site supervisor.
Maintaining Program Culture
The primary role of the manager is to increase access to food resources by reducing barriers to service.

Supervisory Duties and Volunteer Responsibilties
This position develops and leads a strong volunteer base for the food shelf operations.
4. Oversee the supervision, scheduling, on-going training, and orientation of all volunteers, community groups and interns (when appropriate) to ensure that quality services are maintained.
5. Be willing to deal with difficult personnel and customer situations with patience, maturity, calm demeanor and humor.
6. Participate in the development, coordination, and implementation of community building events with volunteers.
7. Responsible for monitoring and controlling resources used by volunteers.
Operational Responsibilites
This role will provide a diverse array of experiences across many of the HAB&FP programs.
3. Must be willing to be trained and consistently use technology to develop, analyze
and report statistics to the HAB&FP board and the SCVFB.
4. Salesforce activities/responsibilities
— technical competence (you'll be trained!) and being comfortable with technology
— the ability to help someone register online for the program and to explain why we require registration
— the ability to explain why we collect data and how we use it
— The manager must also be able to follow security guidelines and troubleshoot issues that arise with Salesforce during operating hours, including User Login, Event Service set-up, Household and Contact registration and updates. The manager will be required to create and share reports and dashboards with board members.
5. Provide customer service—this may include filling open volunteer shifts and covering
volunteer roles when there is a need.

Education and/or Experience:
1. One to two years of nonprofit, warehouse, or retail experience preferred.
2. Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school, GED, or equivalent
