Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), (Hospice)

Location: Newport Beach, California

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. Under the guidance of registered nurses and physicians, you will provide critical nursing care within the scope of the Vocational Nurse Practice Act and adhere to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist in patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Follow strict patient identification and information procedures, manage specimen collection and handling.
Execute prescribed interventions and document discharge plans.
Ensure a safe, ethical, and legal practice environment, solving dilemmas with appropriate resources.
Participate in maintaining a safe patient care environment and care for department equipment.
Accurate charting and record-keeping of patient records and equipment.
Collaborate across disciplines to ensure timely, safe, and quality patient care.
Uphold HIPAA compliance and safety for both patients and staff.
Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience:
At least one year of experience in a healthcare facility.
Understanding of hospice philosophy and needs of the terminally ill.
Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
Experience in community health, hospice, or medical/surgical settings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic keyboarding.
Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
Current LVN License in California.
Current BLS Certification (AHA).

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
Phlebotomy Certification.

Compensation:
$34/Hour
