hubergroup USA is Hiring a Lead In-Plant Manager Near Village, IL

Hubergroup USA INC is looking for an experienced Lead In-plant Manager (Exempt) for a fast-paced progressive packaging printer in Elk Grove Village, Il.
SummaryThe Lead In-Plant Manager will be responsible for maintaining a 24/7 onsite ink-blending facility within customer's location, and two other In-Plant employees. The IPM will match and blend colors as required by the customer, maintain stocking levels for all materials, attend customer & production meetings, following up with managers and pressmen daily for ink performance issues, supplies, etc., maintain records & logs/reports, spot checks of raw material, and general housekeeping for a clean work area.
In addition, there are on call duties for weekends that are shared between the in-plant team.
Requirements: The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, X-rite Spectrophotometry, and Mixmaster. Knowledge of Ink Blending and Matching of colors, Color Theory, Color Matching Skills, math skills, ability to resolve technical issues, knowledge/experience of Lab Equipment, and effective communication/basic computer skills.
Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise two In-plant employees in a 24/7 operation.
  2. Establish and maintain reasonable minimum stocking levels for all materials.
  3. Print out formulas for daily orders
  4. Must be able to calculate the pounds needed for each job ticket.
  5. Reviews and maintains adequate inventory levels
  6. Weigh, mix, QC, computer, label and prepare order for shipment
  7. Color match, prints lab work
  8. Attend the daily production meeting and talk with all floor managers at least twice a day.
  9. Must be well versed on Xrite Spectro densitometers.
  10. Maintain accurate ink consumption reports by job number.
  11. Operate a clean and professional in–plant.
  12. Fill out and submit non-conformance reports for any ink that is out of spec.
  13. May be required to make service calls after hours.
  14. Housekeeping, well-maintained work areas and clean presentable uniforms are mandatory.
  15. Know the customer’s needs.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma/GED (minimum)
  2. Supervisory/Management Skills 
  3. Extensive knowledge of color theory.
  4. Color matching skills. 
  5. High level of printing press trouble shooting skills.
  6. Basic math skills
  7. Ability to respond to and resolve technical questions in a tactful and professional manner.
  8. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
  9. Five years past experience in the Ink Industry.
