Summary
Plans, lays out, assembles, and installs wires and repairs electrical products by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembling electrical products.
Selects size and type of electrical components such as wire type, magnetic contactors, transformers and thermostats according to product specifications.
Lays out, mounts, wires and tests electric control panels.
Sets up and operates wire cutting machine.
Installs product finishing items such as company nameplate, gauges, decals, warning labels and operating labels.
Inspects assemblies for conformance to specifications.
Pulls materials and assembled WIP from inventory and loads onto transfer station or work station.
Perform other duties as requested.

Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply shop math at the high school level. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift weights up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, twist, bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. Occasionally work in cramped spaces, and constant standing and kneeling. Must wear common protective or safety equipment May be subject to noisy machinery. Hearing protection must be worn to protect workers from excess noise. Ability to work alone and collaborate with members of crew. May need on occasion to direct helpers to complete jobs
Working Conditions
May require extensive work hours during peak business planning cycles. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts or in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually noisy.
